Van Don Airport - das Tor nach Halong (Eröffnung Dezember 2018)


Touristen, die an diesem Flughafen ankommen, können die Halong-Bucht für nur eine Stunde mit einer Strecke von 50 km über eine Schnellstraße erreichen.

Der Flughafen Van Don, der einst geöffnet war, ist strategisch gut angebunden, um den Zugang zu vielen Naturwundern und Küstenzielen Vietnams zu erleichtern und den Tourismus auf ein ganz neues Niveau zu heben!

Wichtige Notiz:

Kein Visum erforderlich für britische, französische, deutsche, russische, italienische und spanische Staatsbürger mit einem Reisepass mit einer Gültigkeit von mindestens sechs Monaten für bis zu 15 Tage Aufenthalt.
Die 15-tägige Visumbefreiung gilt nur für die einmalige Einreise und beinhaltet das Datum der Einreise und das Datum der Ausreise.
Bei einem Aufenthalt von mehr als 15 Tagen ist vor der Ankunft ein Touristenvisum erforderlich.

TUY HOA AIRPORT OPENS TO INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS, NOVEMBER 2018


Tuy Hoa Airport in the south-central province of Phu Yen is preparing to receive its first international flights in November 2018.

Currently, Tuy Hoa Airport serves only local routes, with 25 flights a week from the Tan Son Nhat and Noi Bai airports, with Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air Jetstar.

Officials said that the construction to build an additional terminal will be discussed in the near future in order to increase the airport's capacity and to avoid being overloaded soon after being put into operation.

Vietjet Air to launch the first daily Da Nang - Bangkok flights from 15th October 2018.
From Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok, passengers can travel onwards to Thailand’s popular destinations.

DAY 1 (MONDAY)
ARRIVAL
Greetings at the airport in Hanoi upon arrival and transfer to hotel. Hanoi is a city of lakes, shaded
boulevards and public parks dotted with French-style buildings and historical monuments. Free
leisure for the rest of the day.

VESPA CITY TOUR AT NIGHT OPTIONAL EXCURSION 18:00-22:00
Ride a vintage vespa through parts of the city that most tourists don’t get to experience. Starting
from the hotel, we’ll ride out to local street stalls for a snack before stopping at the busiest
market in town: Dong Xuan. Ride to the Long Bien Bridge to catch Hanoi from afar before
stopping for a piping bowl of Pho. Continue on the vespa for a romantic ride around Hoan Kiem
lake, where we will stop or fresh fruit juice. We will also stop at a local joint for karaoke, where
you can join in on some singing for a memorable night. Last, we will visit Ho Chi Minh
Mausoleum before stopping at a lively local bar with live Vietnamese music.
Includes: Classic Vespa scooters, English speaking driver, and all food and drinks in the excursion.

DAY 2 (TUESDAY)
HANOI: CITY TOUR
Experience a full day city tour, starting first by visiting Ngoc Son Temple on Hoan Kiem Lake, Ho
Chi Minh's Mausoleum, One-Pillar Pagoda, Museum of Ethnology, Temple of Literature and the
old quarter. We conclude the tour with a one-hour downtown pedicab ride through the old
streets.

DAY 3 (WEDNESDAY)
HANOI - HALONG BAY
After Breakfast in the morning, transfer to the picturesque Halong Bay with almost 2,000 islets
rising from the emerald waters of the Gulf of Tonkin. Halong Bay is a world natural heritage site
designed by UNESCO in 1994. Cruise in the tranquility of the bay.

DAY 4 (THURSDAY)
HALONG BAY - HANOI - HUE
Continue cruising and disembark in the late morning. Afterward, return to Hanoi’s airport
overland to catch a flight to Hue. Greetings upon arrival in Hue and transfer to the hotel for the evening.
HIGHLIGHTS OF VIETNAM
DAY 5 (FRIDAY)
HUE
In the morning, board a traditional ‘Dragon Boat’ for a 40-minute ride on the Perfume River to the
Thien Mu Pagoda, which overlooks the beautiful river. Historically significant, the Pagoda was the
center of Buddhism in central Vietnam. Continue to the Imperial Palace Citadel, where Nguyen
Dynasty ruled Vietnam until 1945. You will also see Thai Hoa Palace with its roof and columns
lacquered in immense gold.
In the afternoon, visit the Tomb of Tu Duc, one of the most beautiful works of royal architecture
during the Nguyen dynasty. Then visit the Tomb of Khai Dinh. Complete the trip with a visit to the
Minh Mang Tomb with its architecture that harmonizes perfectly with the surrounding scenery.
On the way back to the hotel, stop at a local village well known for its production of incense sticks
and original Vietnamese conical hats.

DAY 6 (SATURDAY)
HUE - HOI AN
Transfer to Hoi An via Hai Van Pass and marvel at the mountainous scenery seemingly falling into
the sea. We will stop at Danang’s Cham Museum, housing probably the best collection of Cham art
in the world with 300 artifacts dating to the 4th century. Transfer to hotel upon arrival in Hoi An.
Begin a walking tour in the afternoon starting at the Museum of Folk Culture and visiting small
markets. Walk along the main street to the Chinese Assembly Hall of Fujien Chinese community,
built as a place of worship. Continue to the river bank along narrow streets, where old houses are
transformed into beautiful shops with colorful lanterns. We will finish the tour with a visit to the
Japanese-built pagoda-shaped bridge and a historic old house in town.

DAY 7 (SUNDAY)
DANANG - SAIGON & CU CHI
Transfer to Danang airport in the morning for a flight to Saigon. Transfer upon arrival to the
famous Cu Chi Tunnels to revisit Vietnam’s courageous past, and a bitter battleground during the
war. Guests will also get a chance to tour the underground network of caves at Ben Duoc to learn
about the ingenuity of Vietnamese people.

DAY 8 (MONDAY)
SAIGON CITY TOUR
A full day city tour around the big city, from downtown Saigon to Cholon (Chinatown). Understand
Saigon’s history and culture with a stop at the History Museum before Hai Thuong Lan Ong Street,
where many stores sell and make traditional medicines. Visit the Thien Hau Pagoda and visit Nghia1
An Hoi Quan Pagoda nearby for its beautiful architecture. See the Fito museum, Notre Dame
Cathedral (closed for renovation until 2019 TBA, but possible to admire its beauty from outside),
the Central Post Office, and the Reunification Palace. Enjoy shopping around Dong Khoi Street
and Ben Thanh Market in the evening.

Overnight in Saigon

DAY 9 (TUESDAY)
MEKONG DELTA
Enjoy a full day excursion to My Tho, a peaceful town on the bank of the Mekong River Delta. Go
on a boat ride upon arrival to the 4 fishing islands of Dragon, Unicorn, Turtle and Phoenix for
sightseeing. Cross small canals and observe daily life of locals in Ben Tre (the coconut village); visit
a bee farm for honey tea and a handicraft workshop for coconut wood products. Take horse carts
along a country road to visit local fruit orchards, where you can enjoy seasonal tropical fruits and
hear local music. Afterwards, ride on small sampans in the canals back to the boat where we will
return to Saigon in the late afternoon.
