Hiking Adventure Sentiero Azzurro - Cinque Terre

On Thursday June 20: We will meet at Heidelberg station at 6:00 in front of McDonalds. Optionally I could pick you up at home if you can't manage with your tent and camping stuff. Then we will head for the camping site and build up our tents. Other drivers from Heidelberg and surrounding areas please be in touch until my car is full so that I can cover my travel expenses before offering seats. I can coordinate seat requests!!!!!! On Friday June 21. We will do the Sentiero Azzuro (Blue path) and Cinque terre hike. We will drive to Levanto and park our car at a free parking lot: From there we will walk to Levanto train station which is 1,1 km and take the train to Monterosso al Mare.

Here we will have a stroll through the village. Then we will leave into nature and head on to Vernazza passing by points of incredible views on the sea. After a stroll thourgh Vernazza we leave into nature again. We will also visit Corniglia, Manorola and at the end Riomaggiore. From there we will take the bus back to Monterosso al Mare. Be aware that this is a tough hike with 1300 m ascent!!!! If it gets too tough we can always stop at one of the villages and do the last part on the next day.

Saturday June 22: We will drive to Levanto and park our car at a free parking lot: From there we will walk to Levanto train station which is 1,1 km and head for St Andrea Church and then head on to Punta Mesco with a great view on Monterosso. Then on to San Antonio viewpoint and then to the blue café in Monterosso al Mare. From there back through the forest to Levanto station. Distance: 16 km

Sunday June 23: We will pack our stuff and leave the Camping site. Before heading back to Heidelberg we will have a stopover in Portofino and hike up to the hill to get some really nice views.
